Research regulation and funding are changing rapidly. The Institutional Official (IO) must ensure efficient processes and robust, yet resilient, infrastructure to support research endeavors. Compliance and integrity are requisites, but may be perceived as obstacles to some stakeholders. IO’s must develop data driven approaches to ensure that the infrastructure supporting research is skilled, efficient, and effective. There will be difficult decisions to make, and the speakers will discuss tips and tricks to promote resilience, to evaluate and improve, and to continuously adapt the research enterprise for greater success.
