Robert Nobles, DrPH, MPH, is Vice President for Research Administration and Institutional Official at Emory University, where he oversees a Billion research enterprise supported by over 500 professionals. Leveraging partnerships across the university, he provides strategic and operational direction for all major research administrative functions—from compliance and grant management to technology transfer. Robert’s priority is to ensure Emory’s research environment continues to thrive while remaining efficient, innovative, and accountable. Nationally, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Federal Demonstration Partnership and advises the National Science Foundation and Oak Ridge Associated Universities. He is also a Co-Investigator on a $50M NSF research security initiative. Prior to Emory, Dr. Nobles held research leadership roles at the UT Knoxville, Texas A&M, UTHSC-Houston and the CDC. With a doctorate in public health and training in health policy, epidemiology, health economics, and molecular biology, he brings a unique yet strategic approach to optimizing and protecting research environments.
