Laura Fontaine, CPIA, Manager Animal Welfare, Labcorp Bedford LLC. Laura Fontaine has worked for the Bedford site since 2007 and started as the IACUC Coordinator in 2012. She became a CPIA® in 2014. During her time as the IACUC Coordinator, she facilitated all IACUC activities including training several Quality Assurance staff in Post Approval Monitoring and supported the emerging efficacy and surgical research services program. She helps support regulatory and client audits. Her current work has her supporting the development of two new software initiatives one is for ACU protocol creation and review, the other is an Animal Welfare tracking software. In 2024 she transitioned to the site’s IACUC Chairperson.
