Rachel Wenzl is the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Research Compliance, Integrity & Security Associate Director and HRPP Director. She oversees the daily operations of the UNL IRB review process and works in concert with the Director of Research Compliance Integrity & Security to identify key areas for improvement and human subjects research compliance initiatives. UNL has been accredited by the Association for Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) since 2008. Rachel has been an integral part of the preparation and review processes for AAHRPP accreditation and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), a certification in Survey, Research and Methodology from UNL along with a Master’s of Public Health and PhD in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Research from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Research interest areas include translational science training and community-engaged research. She has achieved the credential of Certified IRB Professional (CIP) since 2012. Rachel is also a member of the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital’s Institutional Review Board since 2016 and has served in the role as Chairperson.
