John is an indpendent research ethics professional whose roles have included Director of IRB and Protocol Compliance for the All of Us Research Program, Director of the Human Research Protections Program at Virginia Commonwealth University, and Director of Central Operations for the NCI's Central IRB Initiative. John’s background includes significant work in the single/central IRB space including work in support of the NCI Central IRBs, establishing two new CIRBs, and the early start-up of the All of Us Research Program’s single IRB. John is an active member of PRIM&R and AAHRPP and enjoys spending time on ethics education.
