Dr. Elaine Joseph is the Associate Vice President for Research Compliance, Regulatory Assurances and Integrity at the University of Texas at El Paso. She has over ten years experience as an animal researcher and over twenty years experience as a research administrator. Dr. Joseph obtained her Masters and Doctorate in Zoology from Miami University of Ohio. She has published and presented as both a researcher and a research administrator and is certified by PRIM&R as a Cerfited Professional IACUC Adminstrator. She has extensive experience in areas of research compliance and currently oversees IACUC, IRB, and IBC compliance, post-approval monitoring, export control, undue foreign influence, controlled unclassified information research, financial conflict of interest, research misconduct, and the Laboratory Animal Resource Center at the Universtiy of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Joseph is committed to assisting faculty maintain research compliance, while advancing their research goals and reducing administrative burden.
