Amy Kilpatrick, BA, RLATg, CVT, CPIA, is Head of Animal Welfare Compliance at Novartis Biomedical Research in Cambridge, MA, where she leads ethical oversight of animal use and IACUC activities, and serves as IACUC Chair. With over 18 years of experience in biomedical research, Amy is committed to advancing animal welfare through education, transparency, and a strong culture of care. Her work focuses on supporting in vivo staff, mentoring professionals, and connecting daily research practices to broader ethical goals. Outside of work, Amy enjoys petsitting and spending time with her two dogs (Lily and Jack), cat (Oona), and leopard gecko (Ian).
