C. Yvette King, BA, CIM, CCRP, CHW, is an experienced Program Coordinator and Senior Regulatory Analyst with over 25 years of experience in clinical research, regulatory compliance, and community health engagement. Yvette has demonstrated expertise in managing cross-functional initiatives, advancing stakeholder partnerships, and ensuring adherence to federal and institutional research standards.
As Program Coordinator for both the UT Southwestern Simmons Cancer Center and the Clinical and Translational Science departments, Yvette leads community-centered projects that empower local voices, guide research content for lay audiences, and shape impartial health strategies. She created the first Youth Community Advisory Panel and Community Advisory Board Alumni Group. Yvette has earned a reputation as a trusted liaison between academic institutions and historically underserved communities. Her previous role as a Senior Regulatory Analyst, she played an essential part in IRB management, audit readiness, and training development.
Yvette holds certifications as a Certified IRB Manager (CIM), Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), and Community Health Worker (CHW). She is also a graduate of UT South western’s Aspiring Leadership Program.
Throughout her career, she has earned a place in the UT Southwestern Strategic Plan, as a presenter at an NIH site visit, and two prestigious ADDY Awards (American Advertising) for excellence in public communication and audio-visual presentation while working at DB&A Advertising. She has also presented nationally on sound research, health gaps, and community-informed science.
Whether speaking to board members, or alongside grassroots partners, Yvette’s mission is to empower, honor the voices, and build pathways for communities to receive reasonable health outcomes.
