Faith Bertrand, MS, CIP is an Associate Director and has worked as a consultant for Advarra since 2018. Faith provides expertise in human subjects protections, research compliance, process improvement, and change management to universities, academic medical centers, research sites, and hospitals across North America. Having served as a non-scientific IRB member for several clients, Faith’s primary expertise lies in the regulations that governs human subjects, including the Common Rule, FDA and HIPAA Privacy. Faith also performs structured and creative analyses of business processes for our clients and has led strategic transformation initiatives inclusive of information technology software solutions across the research enterprise. From 2015 to 2018, Faith worked as Business Process Analyst at Quorum Review IRB (prior to the acquisition by Advarra), managing workflow efficiency and effectiveness, and executing critical analysis for upcoming regulatory changes to the Common Rule. While acting as the supervisor of administrative services, and responsible for leading two teams across departments, Ms. Bertrand spearheaded lean process improvements. Ms. Bertrand is a Certified IRB Professional (CIP), has a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master of Clinical and Health Informatics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
