Jessica Orak is the IRB Quality Assurance Administrator at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She has been with the MUSC IRB for nine years and recently developed a new Quality Assurance Program that emphasizes both pre-approval and post-approval monitoring. Her innovative pre-approval monitoring process is designed to identify and address potential issues early, improving the quality of research before it begins. Jessica holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from the College of Charleston and is deeply passionate about advancing human subjects research and higher-quality research practices from the start.
