Todd W. Rice, M.D., M.Sc.
Dr. Rice is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Vice-President for Clinical Trial Innovation and Operations at Vanderbilt University. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Vanderbilt Human Research Protections Program. As a physician scientist, he conducts clinical research in the ICU, specifically in patients with sepsis, ARDS, and acute respiratory failure. One of his research focuses is Comparative Effectiveness Research in Learning Healthcare Systems and Research on Medical Practices (ROMP). In the regulatory world, he has extensive experience in regulatory oversight of clinical research.
