Jen Ensley Gorshe CIP, CHRC, is the Compliance and Quality Improvement Lead for NASA’s Office of Research Assurance, where she oversees regulatory compliance and ethical oversight for human subjects research conducted across the agency. In this role she developes initiatives to strengthen institutional compliance frameworks, support investigator education, and ensure alignment with federal regulations and agency policy. Prior to her current position, Jen served as IRB Coordinator for the NASA IRB and has held multiple roles over her 18 years at Iowa State University, including IRB Administrator, IRB Post-Approval Monitor, and study coordinator for complex longitudinal research projects. Her expertise spans IRB operations, post-approval monitoring, research ethics education, and the implementation of quality assurance programs in both academic and federal research environments. Jen is a Certified IRB Professional (CIP) and Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC) and has dedicated her career to advancing ethical research practices.
